Student Q&A: Ethan from Crown Institute of Studies
We chatted to Ethan about why he chose to study hospitality at Crown Institute of Studies in Auckland:
Why did you choose to study hospitality?
I chose to study hospitality because I’ve always dreamed of running my own restaurant or bar and serving customers, so I hope to be a business owner one day.
Why was Crown your school of choice?
I chose crown because it offers a perfect blend of theory and practical studies.
What you’re enjoying most about your studies?
It’s been an incredible journey for me. I’m gaining the skills and knowledge I need to work in the industry, while enjoying every step along the way.
What you’re enjoying most about your student life?
One of the things I love about my student life here at Crown is the social aspect. I’ve had the opportunity to meet incredible people and make lifelong friends.
How do your friends and family feel about your study choices?
My friends and family are incredibly supportive of my studies and career choice. They have noticed my genuine enthusiasm for this field and believe it's something I will still be passionate about 10 to 20 years down the line.
What is your top tip for choosing a course and university?
My top tip for high schoolers when selecting a tertiary school is to consider the level of support available when you encounter challenges or need assistance. Additionally, it's essential to find an institution that resonates with your personality and offers a relaxed and enjoyable environment.
