iSite Intern To Regional Tourism Management

I graduated with a Bachelor of Tourism Management from AUT and during work experience at the i-Site I fell in love with what tourism is all about. It was the perfect starting point for me as it provided me with amazing skills and solid knowledge of how tourism works, with its various roles and many layers.

What I love most about tourism is that it celebrates diversity and it gives me the ability to make a difference through various projects. From supporting new tourism businesses to helping young people, engaging with communities and providing them opportunities to grow – I enjoy it all!

I was lucky enough to attend a trade roadshow across the eastern board of Australia and Taiwan to promote Auckland as a holiday destination to agents, consumers and partners attending the show. It was absolutely an amazing experience.

Give it a try and make a difference! It is so much more than just travel and when you get your foot in the door, you won’t regret it! There are so many opportunities and so many different roles, and the people are very supportive and willing to help you grow.
